Closer to mom is always going to be hard to beat. Can't find fault in that other than maybe he should have waited to commit as should all other recruits when that might be an issue.

Well the thorn in my craw is a similar one...he was the first commit in this class and actively recruited for us, only to flip the second he got a Bama offer. Does not send a good message and the whole "this is a hard decision" to me is lip service. Looking at the situation objectively, the Lockwood family knew the second Ty got a Bama offer he would take it. Hopefully we have others in the class that step up and 'croot, really that is the loss on this one from my eyes. We don't use TEs enough to really get concerned and Thurman is a great TE if he stays on board.

RB, truly feels like getting stabbed in the back. The kid has to do what's best for him, and certainly things can change on his/their recruiting journey(s). Believe that kids commit early to make certain they have a slot, and this sometimes leveraging into having an offer from a more competitive team. Don't disagree with you at all, but kinda feel like Bama goes after tOSU recruits just to show us they can do it....finally, just shows to go ya that recruiting is a very fluid thing. Also that 18 year olds can be easily swayed, for whatever reason, real or imagined. I never wish any player injury or bad luck, so hopes this works out for this young man. Just because he flipped doesn't mean he's a bad apple, just got his head swayed a bit. Good luck young man. Go Bucks!

You can reverse that entire sentence in Lockwood's favor given the other te commitment

he did what is best for himself, and so did all of the schools.

they would steal Richard young the day after his bama commitment If they could.

it's a business.
