2026 TN QB Jared Curtis (Georgia Decommit, Vanderbilt Verbal)

In today’s NIL world there is no reason that Vandy can’t win the sec. They’ve got some wealthy graduates and they are the only major university in a town full of millionaire country artists. The ven diagram of people that watch football and listen to country music is almost a circle.

That is all true to a certain extent. Having a major athletic program in a major city with so much tourism can be good, but also gives so many people other things to take their attention away from the program. And many of those people are bandwagon fans, and the minute Vandy becomes average, those fans will be non existent.
And many of those millionaire alum are also bandwagon, because the team was bad for so long. They will also leave if the program doesn't continue the same level of success. And will those same alum be willing to donate yearly like some alum at more football hungry programs? For example, Auburn hasn't been very good for a while, but it just makes their alum want to donate more to get more talent, similar to programs like Ole Miss, Miss St, etc. Idk if Vandy boosters have the stomach to keep donating big money if they fall below .500
