Jermaine Cobbins said the 3 schools he’s focused on the most coming out of the summer are Ohio State, Oregon and Vanderbilt. Said Texas is pushing hard as well and he could end up visiting them for a game this season.
Chad Simmons says this recruitment has been fluid with Georgia having the early momentum, then Tennessee, now Ohio State entering the season. Will be a long process here.

Put up some shekels on this kid, he's worth it. I get big time Okudah vibes (arm length and ball skills).

Birm has all but indicated that the top 3 defensive prospects in this class that Ohio State is willing to break the bank for are Casey Barner, Tahj Gray and Jermaine Cobbins.
He also expects Ohio State to spend big on DT, more specifically a one tech body like Aedyn Havili or Prince Che.

Speaking about Jermaine Cobbins today, Tom Loy said if his process ended today he would be a Buckeye but there’s still a long way to go. Visits and building relationships with his family and the right people in his family who matter most will be key.

“The right people in his family who matter most” gives me shady uncle vibes lol.

Should be getting some more clarity at CB after this weekend, with 3 top targets visiting. Including longtime top target Langston Pridgeon, which is shaping up to be a very tight ND vs OSU battle. Also reported earlier this week that we are still in the pole position for Cobbins.

Walt visiting top CB target Jermaine Cobbins today.
Long way to go here. But if I was a betting man, I'd think it'd be hard to beat out the Vols. As noted by Fong and Simmons, they almost never lose out on their top target, especially an in-state guy. But we'll see.

He's one you battle out for, Cobbins could be the best CB in this class. Really tough to find kids with his length, hips and knack for the ball. Okudah-esque vibes to this one. Doubt we win out, but worth a shot.
