Title Game: Mich St 72, UNC 89 (Final)

Didn't NC beat the hell out of Sparty earlier this year at Ford Field?
Suton did not play in that game and I don't know what the status of Raymar Morgan was for that game. I am pretty sure that this game will be a lot closer but I just don't see MSU pulling it out.

Although I picked NC to win the NC, this MSU team is probably the last one they would have ever wanted to face in the Finals. Tough up front and hit the boards like monsters. They might at times put you to sleep, but when you wake up you're down by 10. Summers might foul out in the first half, but he'll be on Lawson like the flesh eating virus. From top to bottom, it isn't close, NC is superior. But, with all the "stars" that NC has, I just see MSU putting up the fight of their lifes tomorrow, and making this one of the best NC games ever. I'm not gonna "say" MSU is a lock to win, but they are a "Lock" to cover. With 30 seconds left in this game, it will be up for grabs.

Peace.

There certainly is not much love for UNC on this board and I can understand that but they are a very good basketball team. For someone to say that Summers will be all over Lawson might want to give that a second thought. Lawson will probably be the quickest player on the court. Maybe not the best but he will be the quickest. I also would not put down UNC's lack of desire to rebound. Everyone on the court knows that they are playing for a national championship and I don't think either team will leave anything on the court. I know there's not much love for T. H. but he does play with a great deal of tenacity. In a way, he reminds me of Suton but I also think that his overall game is better. I don't see Suton playing at the next level but T. H. will be. MSU might cover but I just don't see them winning the game and I might be eating these words tomorrow morning.

Morgan had a big game, but had no help. Suton was out, Roe was not 100% (coming off surgery), 20 min 0 pts 8 reb.

Lucas had not emerged as a premiere player yet (2-10 FG 6 pts).

Role players like Green (6 min, 1 reb, 5 fouls, 0 pts) and Lucious (11 min, 1-5 fg, 0-3 3pt, 0 ast, 5 to, 3 pts) had not developed yet.

This is a different MSU team than the previous matchup.

I agree that MSU is a different team but so is NC. NC will kick ass.

It's hard to argue against UNC (and wouldn't bet that way), I've just learned to never sell MSU short.

Decked out in green tonight! :banger:

I hate Carolina and I'm rooting like hell for Sparty but I wouldn't be surprised if UNC wins this going away. They have been dominant in the tourney, and they will have no fear of playing MSU at Ford Field.

Prove me wrong, Sparty. :msu: :bigten:

I kinda have the same feeling.

Although I wonder at what college sports is becoming due to the 13 year old SEC mouthbreathers that have taken conference pride to the point that Ohio State fans are cheering for a team from Michigan.....

Roy Williams is sitting with the team at the level below the floor. It seems like a subtle message, like "the hay's in the barn", and he doesn't need to be at the edge of the court yelling at his team.

17-7 UNC at the first TV timeout.

well yeah when it looks like your bench could outscore Sparty at this point you obviously let them play it and not interfere.
