Time to confess. How did YOU cost us the Illinois game?

Did everything I normally do...the only thing is that I've been pulling a Hawk/Carpenter/Schlegel thing and letting my hair grow until the NC game. Well, I'm sporting the Yul Brenner look right now...

I didn't realize it at the time, but a few weeks back, I stepped on my Buckeye necklace and crushed one of the nuts. My dad has a few buckeye trees, so I was in no rush to replace it as long as it happened before the game w/scUM. He came to my house yesterday, didn't bring the replacement Buckeye (I didn't remind him), and only watched the 2nd half of the game with me. My necklace usually has 12 Buckeyes on it. Apparently, I stepped on the Illinois game.

I also wore my Stormin' Brutus t shirt under my jersey, instead of my OSU athletic dept shirt AND didn't eat pizza or nachos.

I'm sorry that I let everyone down.:(:wink2:

I was a little cocky.. normally any opposing fan i see i go into tressel talk "good luck today guys, enjoy columbus"

saw 2 guys wearing oregon jerseys.. i was tipsy at this point and yelled out "we'll see ya in new orleans" across the parking lot.. also left the tailgate at halftime due to the girls we were with not wanting to battle traffic and the cold night.. damn bitches cost us the game :(

Actually, I blame it on the blond babe standing behind me.

Before the first snap she was playing with her Buckeye bead necklace, while jawing on her cell phone in Valley Girl speak.

The beads broke. I (and others) offered to get the beads & Buckeyes restrung - she refused - saying that they're just silly beads anyway, and she could buy more. She then casually kicked the Buckeyes, beads and leather string under the seats - never to be joined as one again.

Out of respect for my buddy whom I played with after college (he played at Marshall but his dad played at VaTech with Beamer), I wore a VaTech T under my jersey (they had a tough game last week), and I wore the 2007 National Championship patch red jersey. It's normally a plain grey T and an "old school" (grey stripes on sleeves) jersey. I blew it, I took Illinois lightly. :sad2:

I gave away every ticket I had this year and never attended a single game.

I wasn't berated or cussed out once all day at the RV lot. I apparently wasn't doing my job.

I wore my new #92 jersey all day, as opposed to putting it on just before the game like I usually do.
