Like what?
Urban not choosing a QB, changing offensive schemes mid year, play calling duties changing in the year, differences in oline characteristics, and yeah all the coaches and personnel differences. The only similarity is one coach in a whole brewers batch of things. Again, I don't know if Beck is or isn't the problem, but there are more dissimilar things than similar.

So who do you think calls plays this weekend?
Part of me really hopes Urban just takes over... don't care if we go back to the circus merry-go-round for bowl season, but at least this week this game... hope Urban is a lot more involved with the gameday offense.

The one thing I can think of is the obvious talent disparity, but that's an irrelevant factor since he's been virtually unable to utilize said talent outside of a few circumstances earlier in the season.

I would think that proves the point even moreso than disproves it. Taylor Martinez isn't nearly the refined passer JT Barrett was, but he's at the very least even as a runner, but Beck's play calling never played to his strengths.

Ameer Abdullah isn't as good as Zeke (no bias intended), yet Beck hasn't called plays to ride his horse just like how he'd go away from Abdullah at the oddest times.

The talent disparity aside, the pattern fits.

Look at what the Nebby fans are saying - the pattern fits absolutely. Plus adding work to Warriner so he's not just the OL coach hasn't helped, but any OC worth anything would have played to Cardale's strengths (they didn't) and/or played to Barrett's/EZE's strengths (they didn't). That's Beck 101 and that's why the Nebby fans are either laughing at the hire (again) or having flashbacks.

As usual, problems do not have a single point to them. The OL was simply not as good as last year, and it's not simply the RT.....Warriner had OC duties as well, and could not devote himself 100% to the OL outcomes. MSU outcoached tOSU coaches, and predicted pretty much exactly what tOSU would do (much like tOSU did to Oregon last year). The WRs did not crash the LBs, which enabled Zeke to break some big ones. I, for one, do not lay the blame on the QB situation, although one could visibly see the offense gain another gear with JT in there. Probably one of you could get your PhD analyzing this season for the Buckeyes as your thesis.

Having said all that, Beck did not come up with the silver bullet for the O like Herman did, time and time again. That is what the OC (the eye in the sky) is supposed to evaluate and 'adapt' or 'adjust' to what the opposing D is giving them. Methinks that there will be a switch as well, with Beck moving on. Urb has shown enough loyalty to his coaches, but he won't tolerate as much as Tress did during his stint as HC (Bollman). Could see Ash leaving this year as well (his choice). This year the stars did not align themselves like they did for tOSU in 2014, and the ball bounced the other way. Let's finish strong, put an exclamation point on the game with Michigan, smack around a worthy opponent in a bowl (Rose?), and build for next year. tOSU will be a senior laden team (those that stay), defense especially, and with JT undisputed leader of the O, there's a strong chance that tOSU will be in the hunt once again for the Final Four (or does BB have a patent on that?). Anyway, excuse my rant while waiting for the turkey to brown. Happy Thanksgiving, and Go Bucks! Still don't know how to access the 'banger' emoticon.
