I'm not going to lie.

Kinnect is HORRIBLE. I stood there trying to get it to register my downswing for 5-10 minutes and it wouldn't do it. It registers my backswing fine (maybe 1 second late).

Other than that, I like the menus, the music, and the holes that I played (with the controller) looked great. I like the no percentage thing. Makes it more difficult like real golf. Just gotta practice and get used to it.

Need to upload my face to EASPORTSWORLD so that I can create my golfer.

I think it is a small improvement from what I've seen so far over last year. But if Country Clubs is as big of a hit as it could be, it could be a nice step in the right direction.

I think i'm gonna return the game....from everything I read there's a steep learning curve and such. I'm not a golf fan, just like the playing the games, but I really don't enjoy sports games where you really have to learn how to play it to be good at it. I just wanna dive in and play. If I was a hardcore golf fan, sure, but tennis is the only game i'm willing to sit and try to figure out the ins and outs to get better at.

I know jackshit about golf, what needs to be done (like where to line up the ball and draw/fade stuff) so it just makes it that more complicated for me. I don't mind the tempo stuff for the tee and stuff, for putting it's just ridiculous, it's way too hard, and i don't wanna spend hours on it trying to feel a tempo when on a controller it's hard to "feel" tempo

ok, so nevermind...i went through the process and everything, and printed out the label, but then I realized, and I read fine print...i'm only gonna get $35 refunded

I used $20 in promotional credit (that can't be refunded) and the rest with credit...so that's $50..then I read they only refund 80% of it back because of fees...then they were taking off another $5 to make me pay for shipping

Hop on their chat line and see if they can help you with the $20 promo credit after the refund. Sometimes they'll add it back to your account with stuff like this (you might have to chat with them again after they process the return)

it says on their website they don't refund promotional credit

it's all good, I'll just keep it and play it

I played the demo and hated the new(?) swing mechanics. The back swing is a piece of cake, but I couldn't get the downswing at all. I'd get TW 12 if I was going to buy a game.

I think the tee shot and approach shots are just like any other swing in the old games...but it's the short game (chipping, etc) where the tempo string really makes it hard...

so far I found out if I have to chip out a rough 15 ft from the hole or whatever, i'm screwed...I am ALWAYS sailing past the hole and end up with a triple bogey. I just don't understand...I swing just before the red, and yet it sails 15 ft past the hole

The only issue i'm having is putting. For the life of my i cannot get the tempo right. I'm always too fast, which then blows the ball through the slopes. Need to figure out a way to get a more perfect tempo on putting, otherwise it's going to kill me later on. I love the new swing mechanics though. Much more realistic compared to older games. In this game, if your tempo is off or you don't hit the ball correctly, you will lose yardage and get a slice or hook. I'm guessing the kinect is even more accurate with this.
