In my opinion (which equals half of a hill of beans), I don't think permanent banning or banning of any kind should apply to Tibor or anyone who has been a long time contributor and contributes a lot to this community. Whether you think his schtick is funny or not, the bottom line is, Tibor should get way more leeway on this site than other short-timers who just come on to say stupid shit.
Tibor gives and takes. He's an agitator. That's who he is. Or, with regards to Roger Moore, SalaciusBCrumb, WestPABuck, et al., that's who THEY are. Do the people who posted goats and Slurpees get warnings too? No way. And that should be the way to police his behavior.
Whether you like him or not, Tibor's absence from this site takes something away. Just like Mili-Clarity-Tibor-etc.'s absence took a lot away from Bucknuts.
When Clarity made this site, the idea was that the people ARE BP. Has Tibor been a huge part of BP? Of course .. whether its agitating, or taking it himself. I can't imagine that any other poster on this board has more threads about him in the history of this forum than Tibbs.
And lets face it: does anyone want the "NEW" behaved Tibor? In all the years I used to post on Bucknuts and now BP, I think I've seen approximately 0 posts from him, Salacious, or Roger that included any substance or analysis regarding football, or anything else for that matter. He is a forum agitator with a lot of aliases. Take that away, and what have you got?
Granted, Tibor has crossed the line on occasion. And that type of stuff should be policed. I have no idea what happened to cause these bannings, although I do remember Tibbs (under a different alias) manipulating some newbie to send him $20 or something a long time ago on Bustnuts (maybe I'm mistaken). That type of stuff shouldn't happen, and shouldn't be allowed to happen.
But, I don't think the same 'straight-line' approach is applicable to all the users in this forum. I say, take the warnings away, and let him do his thing. At the end of the day, is it really hurting any of us?
