Six is correct. Virginia Tech was a Big East member when they lost the NC game to FSU after the 1999 season.

There is also an error on the BCS's own website, if that was anybody's source of information. I've sent them an e-mail, explaining that the ACC is 1-7 and Independents are 0-2, rather than 1-8 and 0-1, respectively.

Correct. Big Ten, Pac 10, and SEC all have 3. EDIT - SEC only has 2.

tOSU, Wiscy, PSU

Oregon, Oregon State, Washington

LSU, Auburn

EDIT - per correction pointed out by ScriptOhio, Florida has a BCS loss and was removed from the list. The answer was still 3 conferences, but the SEC only has two teams.
