Thursday Trivia Game - won by ScriptOhio

OK, back to a number for the answer.

Since the Heisman was first awarded in 1935, only one conference has had more than 1 member that had a Heisman winner and a #1 finish in a major football poll (AP or Coaches) in the same year.

Add together the last two digits for all of the years in which that conference had teams accomplish that feat.

I'll guess 232, but I'm not really sure i understand the question.

BB73 - incorrect. You must wait 15 minutes before attempting to answer the same question.

BB73 - Same parameters as the last question, except it goes all the way to 1935. Find a conference that had more than 1 team do that, and add together the last two digits of all the years that it happened for teams in that conference.

apparently FSU isn't in the SEC anymore (or ever :2004: )

Correct. 1941 Bruce Smith of Minnesota and some guy from Fremont at another Big Ten school in 1997.

Georgia claims an NC in 1942, but it wasn't from the AP. Of course, the other SEC team was Florida in 1996, so the answer would still be 138.

Last question coming up.

Add together the last two digits of each year of the BCS rankings which did NOT have a team remain in the top 2 of the BCS rankings for the entire season.
