Thursday Trivia Game (2007): ScriptOhio won

Name 2 players that led the Buckeyes in rebounding for a basketball season, and then played in the top professional league in a sport other than basketball.

Correct. A clean sweep for Script tonight. I think he was fortunate NFBuck wasn't here for the first question.

Frank Howard led the Buckeyes with 15.3 rebounds in '56-57, adn was a 2nd team All-American. He also led the team with 13.6 rebounds in '57-58. he was the National League Rookie of the year for the Dodgers in 1960, and led the AL in homers in and RBIs in 1970, playing for the Washington Senators (the team that became the Texas Rangers).

Rickey Dudley led tOSU with 7.5 rebounds/game in '94-'95, before playing TE for the Raiders, the 2001 Browns, and Tampa Bay.

I thought somebody might guess Havlicek, since he was in the Browns camp until their last cut, but he never led the Buckeyes in rebounding - which would have been tough since he was in the same class as Lucas, who averaged over 17 rebounds for his career.

Frank Howard holds the team's single game rebounding record with 32!
