I got the memo on the cookie clearing to get on, but despite my efforts to do so, it wouldn't let me log on. It finally let me log on tonight, for whatever reason.

The frustration was well worth it, though. Well done with this server. Hats off to you guys (and gal).

Sorry about that. The cookie issues have been annoying, but once they sort themselves out you should be golden. Sounds like when you cleared cookies you only went back so far, as opposed to all-time (I did the same when I cleared in Chrome). Maybe not though, the important thing is you're able to get on now.

Anyone reading this who is still flummoxed should be trying the following:

  • Clear the entire cookie history for this site (some browsers just default to clearing recent history).
  • If you can add BP as a trusted site in your browser, that has helped others.
  • Try a different browser (Chrome, FF, IE) if you're willing and able.

The good news is cookie issues are temporary, they'll fix themselves with enough time even if you don't do it. The bad news is it's all client side, so there's little I can do to help beyond getting the information out there. The 'nuclear' option is I change our cookie configuration again, setting a new prefix so we're writing new cookies instead of over-writing old ones, but at this stage of the game that would just cause far more new problems than it would resolve old ones.
