HTTR Forever.

At their conference today, NASA scientist Felisa Wolfe Simon will announce that they have found a bacteria whose DNA is completely alien to what we know today. Instead of using phosphorus, the bacteria uses arsenic. All life on Earth is made of six components: carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and sulfur. Every being, from the smallest amoeba to the largest whale, share the same life stream. Our DNA blocks are all the same.

But not this one. This one is completely different. We knew that there were microorganisms that processed arsenic, but this bacteria?discovered in the poisonous Mono Lake, California?is actually made of arsenic, with phosphorus absent from its DNA. The implications of this discovery are enormous to our understanding of life itself and the possibility of finding beings in other planets that don't have to be like planet Earth.

This could be the single biggest discovery of our time. Maybe ALL time

Why does every reference to astro-physics and the entire makeup of the universe boggle my mind. After reading a Brief History of Time I got hooked. I have read so many accounts of the universe, time and space. I realize after all of this time my grasp of the whole universe is deeper but to use a metaphor I am still wading and there is an ocean to discover. :(

Einstein and Hawking are such superior minds.

We can put plumbing in doors!? Where can I find doors using this breakthrough technology! :tongue2:

I searched for University of Michigan doors, but all that came up were doormats

That's classified.

If there was a secret organization with a secret hideout... not that there is... but if there was... they might know the answer. But, of course, they couldn't say anything. Even though there's no reason to think they even exist in the first place. Just saying, IF they did, then they'd have in door plumbing. Probably in-door plumbing as well. But, again, since they don't really exist, this has just been a theoretical exercise. So... it's not really classified, unless of course, there is such an organization. Which there's not.

Yeah, but Einstein locks onto his first reciever and Hawking can't run the spread worth a [censored].

Phosphorous will make our players faster... I remember a chem class where one of the class brainiacs let a piece of phosphorous hit air... whoooooosh... we feed that to our WRs and we're there... talk about Flash Thomas...
