Yuk. Yuk. Agree with your premise. Maybe after all of these decades, it's time to leave behind the "well-rounded education". Someone on the engineering track for instance, shouldn't need to take a poetry class, no? If you want it, certainly. In undergrad, had a guy on the medicine track, that got A's in his classes, and a D in English. (PS, was an English speaker). Now, as a side, am moving back to Ohio, and while looking to rebuild my stable of doctors, have noted that many are from tOSU School of Medicine. So guess we'll see how many we/I interview to see if they're as good as we have here in the boondocks of California. Stay tuned.
