The Return of "What's in your CD player?"

Crap--

Led Zeppelin BBC Sessions

NIN- Whatever that double live album is called.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers Greatest hits got in there somehow... Thanks Mrs AKAK.... She aint the First lady of Paint Chips for Nothing. ("How long, How loOOong..." 'til you shut the fuck up!)

New Beastie Boys... its not that good.

Queens of the Stoneage.

Might be some Bob Marley and the Police in a pile next to the thing.

Alice in Chains - Best of
I take it you mean "Greatest Hits" as opposed to their box set? Some rat-bastard stole that CD from me the other day, and I've been trying without much success to download it as a temporary replacement until I can buy a new one. AIC kicks ass.

You guys that are listening to Queens of the Stone Age - which one are you listening to?

Yeah, I have everything they ever put out, including the box set, but I don't keep anything in the case anymore so I forget what the name of the Disk is sometimes. Even though I am a little older the Grunge scene for me was the best music we have had since the early 70s. Alice, Nirvana, Soundgarden etc. I love em all. Sad day when Staley finally died, but he had been gone for some time anyway.

Queens : Songs for the Deaf nice album, probably the closest to grunge sound of anything out there now.

Jlb - I see you are from Hubrier Heights. Have you ever listened to the Pixies much. Kim Deal, the bass player for them is from Huber. I just saw them at Vets a couple weeks ago, fantastic show. For my money they are without a doubt one of the most influential, underapprecieated bands out there.

You were there? I was, too. Great show, great venue.

I've got:
Pixies - Doolittle
Mobb Deep - Murda Muzik
Mobb Deep - Hell on Earth
Talib Kweli - The Beautiful Struggle
Pharoahe Monch - Internal Affairs

in my home CD player. In my car, I've been rotating between The Rapture's album and Mobb Deep - The Infamous.

I'm seeing Mobb Deep tomorrow, can you tell?

I like the Pixies. I don't have anything but mp3s by them though.

CD's i've been rotating through at the Gym:
Built to Spill- Perfect from Now On (Great CD, wish they'd release new stuff though)
Death Cab for Cutie- Something about Airplanes (my fav DCfC CD, not exactly gym music though)
Pixies- Doolittle (my only Pixies CD, but it's a classic)

On Rotation in the Car:
Modest Mouse- Lonesome Crowded West (their best Album to date)
Wilco- A Ghost is Born (ok, but crappy compared to their other stuff)
Dismemberment Plan- Emergency & I (sucks that they broke up)
Fiery Furnaces- Blueberry Boat (very strange music, punkish show tunes)
Morphine- Cure for Pain (Best CD from a great band, sucks that the Lead singer is dead)
Franz Ferdinand- don't remember CD Name (great band that is actually getting radio play)
