The Paul Finebaum Show (Official Thread)

The defense of recent poor B1G bowl performances has always been the fact that B1G teams were picked for BCS at-large games they probably didn't deserve because of revenue, so every other B1G team had to play 'up' -- B1G teams wound up being installed as underdogs in a plurality of their bowls disproportionate to other conferences.

This season, B1G teams are favored in 6 of their 8 bowls. The SEC, with two teams in the CFP, are .500 with a pick'em.

Now would be a good time to end the chirping.

It was also a matter of bowl tie-ins. I dont know how it looks since they redid it all for CFP era, but in BCS the Big10 and PAC had less mid-major tie-ins. ACC had most, and on top of that also had several Big East tie-ins.
It's the same issue you see today with scheduling. B1G bats for the fences ... generally PAC does too. No FCS, at least 1 P5 OOC, 9 conf games ... I don't know what rules PAC has but I feel safe saying they schedule FCS significantly less than SEC and ACC w/o even looking it up.
