The Ohio State Baseball (Official Thread)

Is the general consensus that tOSU has 'turned a corner'? Or still too many holes in the line-up? When our kids have a good year, the pros feel that hey if he can do with a mediocre team, bet he can do better when he's got some talent around him.......kinda a joke...but the pros seem to scout out the good players, and dangle probably more money than NIL brings in - and they're playing a game they've been playing all their lives...cannot say I wouldn't leap at the chance. Play golf with a couple of guys that were drafted, one #80 (of which he's very proud), and another drafted out of Cal as a junior. Anyway, they bounced around in the minors for a time, and finally realization set in, and came back to hometown and actually both became teachers, and another played ten years in the bigs, now a Fire Dept Captain. Great memories for those guys, and gotta hope that for our Buckeyes as well. Guess my message is to follow your dream, do the best for as long as you can, and then rely on your Buckeye sheepskin to make your way in the world with some great memories.

I think Haire has shown that he can put an offense that can compete together.

Pitching is always going to be an issue for "cold weather" schools, but Ohio State is still too far behind the curve even for those types of schools.

I definitely wouldn't say that they've "turned a corner" but there's at least more hope going forward than there was after last season. They are in the top half of the B1G at the moment, which is a step forward, hopefully they can finish strong.
