and how much money has been wasted on the multiple attempts stir up interest in the use of dollar coins?

a dollar coin simply isn't practical at this point. and to be perfectly honest, by the time a coin would be seen as just as effective in purchases. physical money itself would likely no longer be considered practical. as by that point credit/debit payment systems will have made cash of all forms all but obsolete.

i understand the mindset the gov is using, unfortunately it is horribly flawed and destined to fail regardless of what they attempt.
