The Moment you Realized Time was Catching You...

Up until last season, I ran QB for our scout team everyday. We decided it was better to use the time to develop the younger QBs so I haven't done much at all this year.

This week, we are facing another dang Wing-T team and I wanted a good look for my LBs....so I've taken every snap.

I only took a few good shots this week...one helmet in the ribs, but I feel like I just did 3 rounds in the UFC octagon. My legs feel like cement, my back is all twisted up, bruises all over my upper body from reaching hands, and my fingers are swollen from banging my hand off of helmets...stupid Waggle Pass.

This week, I realized I'm getting old...lost a step. That type of revelation absolutely sucks.

When did you realize time was catching up?

I'm getting owned by quicker 40+ year olds on the bball court. I can bang with anyone under the basket, but I've lost some of my quickness away from the paint. I don't think it is lost forever, but I will need to get in better shape. 3 years ago I could squeak the ball over the rim for a dunk, but now I can't touch the rim without a running start.

I believe I was 28, maybe 29. Hadn't played basketball for years but played for several hours and felt fine the rest of the day and that night when we went out boozin. I could barely walk the next morning when I woke up. Last year after a full day of yard work and being sore for a week only confirmed this condition. :shake:

The day my girlfriend notice some gray in my hair was the same day I tried to dunk a basketball (which I could still do last year) and simultaneously hurt my ankle, knee, back and neck. I'm pretty sure I realized it then.:(
Edit: my hairline started a controlled retreat when I was 18, but that didn't make me think I was old, it just made me think my parents gave me bad genes

I'm 23, invincible, and I will live forever. I will never grow old or tire or fade, never lose my hair or gain weight because I am a terror, I am a delight, I am a god among men! A GOD! REEEEAAAAAUGHH!!!
