The latest on Rocky 6 and Rambo 4

Metal Rules
Another sequel, whats next

Stallone Zone is relaying a couple of interesting bits. Here's a morsel :

Rocky 6
First up, they're running some info from the latest Sly mag, continuing their coverage of the "Rocky 6" script, which hints who might be returning for sequel five. According to the site, Paulie, played by Burt Young, would be back - coaxed by Rocky to mann his corner again, and Duke, played by Richard Gant, is back as the chap who pit Tommy Gunn against Sly in "Rocky 5".

Rambo 4
In addition, the site mentions a rumour doing the rounds that Burt Reynolds might be playing pop to gun-toting Rambo in the next sequel. With Richard Crenna no longer with us, I guess they're looking for someone to lend John-boy a helping hand on the battle field in "Rambo 4". The film starts rolling in Jan.

IMO both are gonna be flops, Stallone is to old, but a hell of an actor.

A complete list of movies that Sly was a good actor in:

1) Cop Land
2) Rocky (1)

I love most of his movies, for the action, but he's not a very good actor. Isn't Stallone older than Burt Reynolds? If not, Reynolds isn't much older than Stallone.

I was flipping through the channels yesterday, and noticed Judge Dredd was on. I'd never seen it before, so I watched a few minutes. Ouch; that was painful. Then, a few hours later, I was doing the same thing, and Under Siege 2 with Steven Segal was on. Man, what a day of brutal television........

Cop Land - I saw parts of it, and really was enjoying it. I'm gonna have to see it all sometime. It flopped at the theaters, so I figured it blew and I never bothered seeing it.

Party at Kitty and Stud's may have been his best movie. He gives an "erect" performance (i.e. nothing "limp" about his acting ability.

I liked Rocky I-IV, V was pretty much crap, which is why Stallone said he wanted to do VI. I think it was a better way to end the series. Besides, without IV we wouldn't have had Dolph Lundgren. Without Dolph theres no crappy He-Man movie, there would be no career of horrible action B-movies with boobies, and there would be no "I must break you."

If you want another good Stallone movie an early one, Death Race 2000, with David Caradine is a classic.
