Could be just me, but was/am of the opinion that 'naming rights' is transitory. In other words, you pay X to have your name there, but after, what, five years? Then the rights are used up and unless there's a continuation clause in the contract, tOSU can go out for another round of bidding. Certainly a company wants to be recognized, but they might have to make a decision if the marketing expense is gaining them market share/sales etc. Guess I'm saying that 'buying' may be a misnomer, but 'renting' is more likely. Sort of a continuing money maker for the AD. PS, does anyone know if the debt for building all of these wonderful facilities is being defeased? Eventually the interest on this big number can take away from NIL etc. See US Debt levels, versus amount of US budget required to service said debt.
