took the day off yesterday, played 9 holes at +7, not great, but par'd the last 3 holes and started to hit the ball well, decided to play another loop, and damn glad i did, i shot a +2, hit all of the fairways and 6 out of 9 GIR
It’s always great to turn a bad round around. Sunday I had my worst front 9 in forever. I found something in my downswing on 10 and things started to click. Had a couple birdies on the inward and played under my handicap.

Would be great if you were able to double down on your bets for the back nine, and make some money. Have had a few days like that, so fortunately you were able to finish on a high note, and that's what keeps bringing you back to the course....

looks like maybe OK weather tomorrow and Sunday - strongly considering going out to get at least a few holes in - my course never "closes", when i joined the club manager told me that a guy went out last january to play one hole on his 95th birthday or something like that.

Also just bought the boy a new to him driver for Christmas, so i'm guessing we'll either go out late december or early january - or at least to a golf sim restaurant

Moving from California back to Ohio, move closer to our only daughter. Playing golf in November will soon be a think of the past (play in December, January, and February as well). Anyone belong to a good CC in the North End? Thinking Worthington Hills or Tartan Fields (will not pay the tariff for Brookside or Muirfield)....We're equity out here, meaning we are owners. My buy-in was $3,500, now the sale price is $11,000. In C'bus, you pay a ton of money, and never see it again. Thanks.

When was the last time you checked on Brookside? They seem to be in flux a lot on fees. If you only care about Golf (and not the pool, picklball and liver destruction) check-out York. You could always move back to your old hood and roll up high street. There's also the Kinsale/scioto reserve double I guess. Honestly none of these places outside Scioto or Muirfield should be anything but a pretty good deal. The meatloaf in the Brookside bar might be worth the whole thing.

Thanks AKAK. Kinda lost interest in Brookside when they dropped the 'buy-in' fee of $60,000 on me. Could pay it, but as a 76 year old golfer, don't know how many years have left to amortize over the # of rounds I play. My course here, which was used for US Open qualifier last year (so not a bad track), is asking $11,000 for a membership, which is equity, and you sell to someone when you exit. Do like the houses in that enclave, and very close to daughter. Only thing, hate turning left on 161's two lanes, especially during rush hours. PS, other courses are in the $22k range. Much more doable. Thought York was limited to Masons only?
