I don't recall ever seeing The Game get so little attention in the media. It is not mentioned on any of the major web pages.

If there is anything that TSUN fans need to pay attention to, it's that. Ohio State and TSUN players always give everything for The Game, but this year it seems clear that RichRod's job hangs in the balance.

Buckeyes, there's one thing RichRod can do to save his job. You know what to do to make sure it doesn't happen.

Now then, I remember standing in front of the Varsity Club around 10 on a gray November Day, sticking my thumb out to hitch a ride back to Kettering and the first car, a green mid fifties Plymouth coup, pulls over and picks me up. I toss my bag in the back and climb in and the driver turns to tell me, "someone took a shot at the President." We didn't say a word to each other for the next hour and a half as we wound our way through London, Cedarville, Wilberforce, Xenia and finally Kettering. All the while listening to the tragedy develop out of Dallas. That night it was announced that the Ohio State - Michigan game was postponed and would be played a week later, after Thanksgiving, 1963. The Bucks won and I think Kennedy would have wanted it that way.

Your post may have seemed to go unnoticed, but I appreciate you sharing the memory. Thanks.

As a counter to JFK, all Buckeye fans should read the eulogy Nixon delivered at Coach Hayes' funeral. It's been a while since I've read it, but there is an excerpt here:

There's only so many ways to say that tsun sux. I'll gladly wade through all the posts--because it's Michigan Week--but I am one Buckeye who truly appreciates thoughtful posts.

I'm listening to TBDBITL as I eat lunch. It's Michigan Week!

I always enjoy Michigan week, to including the annual battle, but this year's game seems to have a different feel to it...

scUM is down - again - with a terrible defense. Outside of Cam Heyward, neither team has an A-List NFL talent player on their team. The Bucks are looking at a 6th straight Big Ten title, but with a 3-way share it loses a lot of bragging rights and luster. Neither team is sporting a smash-mouth style RB corps. There is no National Title or Heisman on the line.

It just seems a little unpolished. I can't wait for the game, but just throwing my two pennies out there.

Actually I disagree. This game has the same feel. They are TSUN and I hope we hang a hundred on them and shut them out. Same feel I've had for The Game every time it's been played since I was a little kid.
