Don't know if anybody else noticed this...but I've been to a lot of Ohio State/Michigan games in my life, both in Columbus and up there...and this is the first time I can recall the fans not rushing the field after the home team wins.

I have pictures of fans storming the field. I'll try to get them uploaded tonight.

I was still on the field 10 min after Carmen Ohio, no storming at that point. They held them off from storming the field.

Then again, RR also did the same, as apparently it wasn't worth hopping the rail(!!!) to continue that annual tradition.

A lot of talk today about whether or not it's sad that one team has started to dominate this rivalry. I'm with the majority here in saying I always root for a complete ass-romping of the Wolverines each year, so I certainly think these are happy times. However, that being said, I do think it's sad to see what is happening to Michigan fans (in general). It was just 4 years ago that they had a scary defense, ranked #2, and were demanding a rematch in the title game. THAT'S what Michigan fans should be. Not these lame fans who are happy with 7-5 seasons. I've heard Michigan fans talking smack today about how they shut down Boom in the first half and forced two straight 3 and outs. Really??? Is that what your expectations have stooped to? Talking smack with a 30 point loss to your arch rival?

In my opinion, Richrod hasn't ruined a rivalry, but he has ruined a fan base.

I think you made a good point during the game yesterday: what would Bo say if he saw Michigan line up in a shotgun formation on 2nd and goal at the 1? I guess it's one thing if they had scored from that formation, but they got pushed WAY back.

I'm for Ohio State wins. That's always number 1 for me. But if I can be picky, I'd like to see Michigan field a team with teeth. One that I can respect and hate. Not one that I pity and make fun of.

When Ohio State walks onto the field in Ann Arbor next year, it will have been 2,926 days since TSUN beat Ohio State.

Imagine, if they win that game, it will be more than 3,290 days when they walk on the field at Ohio Stadium in 2012. Forget Nostradamus, I want to see more than 3500!

7300 sound good to you? Any denomination of 3650 is exquisite to me.

Yeah, you're right. Wasn't the fans. My fault. I know we were stuck in a huge cluster and nobody was moving. I snapped some photos off of what I thought were fans, but after checking the pictures I was wrong.

Well, that sucks.

I also don't buy into the monkey factor or whatever you want to call it. I have a hard time believing a game this bowl season would have anything to do with what has happened against SEC teams before, just like either of the NC games in '07 & '08 had little to do with what went on with the Outback Bowls in '01 and '02. Besides, if you buy into that SEC-monkey-on-the-back talk based on the cumulative record, how much effect can one game really have on that?

How familiar are you with scan statistics?

storming the field after a win over an opponent you were favored by 17 over? was it the superbowl?......

*insert reminder of jokes made about UM's celebration over Illinois*

No, it was better than the super bowl. It was The Game. Best in all of sports, if you ask me. I'd much rather go to The Game than watch a Steelers/Cardinals or Colts/Saints game. Boring if you ask me.

Yes, that goes for a 30-point blow out as well. I guess that's what it means to me to be a Buckeye, though.

Heh they stormed the field when I was there in 08. I walked down on it just for the heck of it since I was 4th row 39AA that year. Nothing like when the stormed the fiedl in 06 though that was epic with people wearing the sod as hats.
