any projections on who you guys are going to play? I'd love to see you go up against an SEC team. Ya'll are playing pretty good ball and could probably get rid of that demon.

We could play Stanford but I hope we can play an SEC team. It's college football, anything can happen in the next few weeks.

Odds are very high Ohio State gets the Sugar Bowl at-large and with LSU going down to Arkansas tonight, it will either be against Arkansas or South Carolina.

I disagree. Playing TCU is a lose/lose. I would much prefer to be in the Sugar Bowl against an SEC team. It's time to get that goddamn monkey off our back.

I'm gonna guess you're too young to remember much of the pre-BCS era. For me, the Rose Bowl is the prize you shoot for at the start of the season when you play in the Big Ten or Pac-10.

I also don't buy into the monkey factor or whatever you want to call it. I have a hard time believing a game this bowl season would have anything to do with what has happened against SEC teams before, just like either of the NC games in '07 & '08 had little to do with what went on with the Outback Bowls in '01 and '02. Besides, if you buy into that SEC-monkey-on-the-back talk based on the cumulative record, how much effect can one game really have on that?

It seemed like LSU in the Sugar Bowl was a virtual lock until a few moments ago. I'm glad they're out of the picture, since I have no interest in the Buckeyes' bowl opponent having a virtual home game.

It would be great to not have to listen to that pig-suey bullshit for 3 hours as well.
