Game Thread THE GAME, Sat 11/28 @ 12pm ET, ABC

Feel like 1969 in here to anyone else?

Me neither

Reminds me of 1998. Ohio State was #1 in the country since the start of the season, undefeated at 8-0, played Sparty in the shoe and lost a heart breaker 24-28, and finished the season 11-1 with a win in the Sugar Bowl against Texas A&M.

It sucked that year losing to Sparty too; as the loss to Sparty easily could have cost us a National Championship.

Don't forget 2001, 2004, and 2007. Anyone catch Mack Brown on the halftime show last Saturday? He said what I thought the whole week leading up to THE GAME, in essence: TTUN's worst nightmare is a Buckeye team that was defeated the week before, especially in a game that they shouldn't have lost.

Hell of a game. :boom:

GO BUCKEYES!!!

Michigan fans do their best Penn State fan impersonation.

http://www.scout.com/college/michigan/forums/2019-stadium-and-main/14334828-penalties

we never got a single call this season at home. Numerous questionable stuff and pretty much every 50/50 call went against us.

The laughable thing is catches being called incomplete and other team's incompletes being changed to catches - something that never happens when we are in an opposing stadium during the season.

The replay booth is corrupt imo.

Mostly a lot of whining about the roughing the punter call.

Didn't know where to drop this so I'll put it here since tsun sucks dick.

THANK YOU BP for putting up the count down ticker to MSU. Hopefully payback is in 4-6 weeks but if not fuck it I'm counting down every second till we play them.

I don't wear blue and I don't wear yellow. After our game two weeks ago I now do not wear green either.

Meh. I can't get into the mindset that "they beat us, so I don't like them." Sure, I want to get revenge and all. I'm hoping Ohio State can play Clemson to get revenge for a couple of years ago. But Michigan State didn't dance on our logo. The players didn't taunt the fans (more than normal, anyway, to my knowledge). The coaches, to my knowledge, didn't come out and show any disrespect for Ohio State. They didn't go for two when they're up 34 points, saying, "that's what my card says!" They didn't seem to intentionally hurt any of our players. They didn't do anything to warrant any hatred from me. They gave Ohio State their best shot and came out on top. Good for them. Good luck against Iowa. I don't know who I'm rooting for, yet, but I have no reason to wish anything bad on them.

But again, I'd love a chance at a rematch in the playoffs. If that doesn't happen, I'll be looking forward to the revenge game next season.

And fuck Michigan.

Actually, the MSU players immediately ran down to the southeast corner of the end zone (in front of where the OSU band sits) and started crowing. And I'm not talking about jumping up and down with each other and celebrating with each other, but rather celebrating/yelling/gesturing towards the band/crowd in that corner of the end zone. It struck me as a little odd for a Dantonio coached team, not that I really care much. Just thought it worth noting in light of the bold above.

But, yeah, F Michigan. Seriously.

Plus the electric guitar pretending shit kicker.... it reminded me of Drew Tate and his windmill celebration. For me though this is now 3 times in the last 20 or so years MSU has completely dashed our hopes.

I'm going to need to see pics or video. Otherwise I assume you are wrong and the players ran to the southwest corner of the stadium where their fans were sitting, to celebrate with them, and where the ramp to their locker room is located. If the MSU players were taunting the OSU band before the playing of Carmen Ohio then it would have been all over the news.

Getting back to The Game, I'm not sure we have ever had a more efficient stretch of TD drives in The Game than we did Saturday. After a scoreless first opening drive, we scored TDs on six of the next seven drives, including the first four drives of the second half. The only drive in that stretch where we didn't score was when we got the ball via Michigan's kickoff (touchback) with a exactly a minute left in the half, and Meyer was content on playing it safe to run out the clock.
