Game Thread THE GAME: Ohio State 42, Michigan 7 (Nov. 22)

86-0 is the record for the most lopsided game in the history of the rivalry. if there was ever a year to get them back this has to be it:biggrin:

Bucks win 90-0!

screw those fuckers, go bucks!!!

has anyone mentioned that only 1 michigan coach in history has lost his first game vs tOSU?

I'm wondering if Michigan will ever be great again. They are going to have trouble recuriting out of state, and in state high school football isn't the greatest. I don't know. I am think we probably take the lead in this rivalry in my lifetime. That's my prediction. I'm sticking to it. I don't know which is stronger. My hate for Michigan, or my love for kicking their asses. I hope we win by 50.

They will be.

I actually think Rodriguez could be scary with the recruiting power of Michigan. But he has to keep his job for this to happen. Michigan is going to get great players for a few years, at least. There are still kids who bleed piss and blue and would do about anything to be a Wolverine.

And only one Michigan head coach has ever led them to an 8+ loss regular season

Man... Michigan week already.... Say it isn't so....

Anyway this is going to be the best Ohio State/Michigan game ever. For the first time ever I am taking my older brother (my hero, my best friend, my everything) to the Horseshoe for the game. He has never been to a game. With me moving back to the area and some other great blessings I was able to get some tickets and offer him an early X-Mas present.

Seeing his excitment and misty eyes was the best gift I have ever recieved. I can not be more exited... On top of all that sappy sh** this is Ohio State/Michigan baby!!!!!!!

I am expecting a good game... Believe it or not Michigan still has pockets of talent, they have NOTHING to lose, and this win will salvage a season. I am not worried about our team losing focus and I think they will prevail, but I think it will be a better game then what most will think.

Oh, man - talk about the antithesis of "fan" - on what is meant to be a message board for the more obsessed in their fanbase.

A majority of those voting (and it's fewer than you would think in total) won't watch.

Never, ever during the darkest days of the Cooper loss streak would I refuse to watch The Game. Never.

Maybe we should host their poll here so everyone can see which one their ilk are the pussies.

Exactly. Fans these days are pussies, including many of our own unfortunately (bitching about margin of victory, playcalling, etc. after a win). Even in the dark years, nothing could have ever made me miss THE GAME.

Damn kids! :pissed:

I don't think the UM fans realize the trouble they are in. This is very reminiscint of the fall of PSU and ND. Herbstreit said some very good stuff on gameday about ND. About how they have sucked for 15 years.

I want to know how Michigan is gonna get better next year? Don't say defense...maybe offense?

This years game is importnat for OSU in a few different ways.

1st 9 loss season in Michigans 129 years history.
Tress 7-1 versus Michigan
4th straight B10 Campionship
5th staright win versus Michigan
4TH STRAIGHT BCS BOWL.

If we blow these clowns out it will only increase the size of the fence around OHIO.

I can't see a scenario where Ohio State loses this game to be honest. I'm even having trouble creating a scenario that has this game even close. Rod has not embraced this rivalry the way that he should. The "we have several rivals" bullshit is very reminiscent of John Cooper's "it's just another game on our schedule" preemptive strike every year. You know, the ones that he put out there in anticipation of the loss every year.

Not only do they not have the horses to compete, but they don't have the heart either. They laid down yesterday and I've NEVER seen that out of a Michigan team.

They are in serious trouble, not only this season, but for the foreseeable future. They aren't going to be much better next season and I'm not sure what's going to change in following seasons.
