Game Thread THE GAME: Ohio State 14, TSUN 3 (final)

Well, anyone think those moehunchers actually have a chance next year?

Anything can happen in The Game. But even if Vern, Malcom, Animal, Robo, and Boone enter the draft, I think OSU enters next year as serious favorites. Of course scUM was supposed to be the better team this year and we all saw how that worked out.

What's with my reputation? Why do I have all those reds?

I have been trashing scUM since I joined. I have not spoken one positive word about scUM. and went all out today to make fun of Big Blew.

Let show you what we do to those who whine about reps/dings...

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

It's a great day to be a Buckeye in the state of Michigan.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Chris "Beanie" Wells exploded 62 yards through the mist to a touchdown that propelled Ohio State not only to a fourth straight victory, 14-3, over Michigan today but also to its third straight Big Ten championship.
And for the second straight year, the Buckeyes (11-1, 7-1) own the title outright, as a Jim Tressel-led OSU team beat Michigan for the sixth time in seven tries and third time in four games in Michigan Stadium.
Today's game was played in front of 111,941, the second largest in NCAA history.

cont'd...

I knew that someone would react that way when the media said it (and they will) but didn't know someone would pick up on it so quickly...

Yes, I said IF we BACK in to the title game.

I agree with you that we are as deserving as anyone. Anyone who actually pays attention to the stats that I post knows that I feel that way.

But we didn't take care of our business. I posted that we "backed in" with specific intent.

We might have a good argument, but we had a chance to end any arguments and we didn't get it done.

That having been said: I'm ecstatic with a 3rd straigt big 10 championship, 2nd straight outright and a trip to the Rose Bowl if that's where we're headed.

God Bless Tress!

"Backed in" would be right. I'd take it and be happy, but I agree that the Bucks did not take care of business and did not play like a team deserving of a shot that the NC. I wouldn't want to be one of those annoying fans from other schools that have a sense of entitlement when their team doesn't take care of business on the field.

haven't been on in a while so I figured I'd stop by and say that this is what BIG TEN football is all about! Cold, overcast, raning/snowing, hard nosed, running the football, and a defensive game! I loved this game and I dunno bout ya'll but this game was sweeter than some of the past years. HUGE WIN here and I'm proud of our boys for the way they bounced back (especially that defense).

Couple of shout outs...

Gholston- He had 2 or 3 sacks and many many more pressures! How bout him just dominating Jake Long (not to mention Heyward did as well)

Beanie- He is the most talented back in the nation. No doubt in my mind either. Other backs will have better numbers, and a more flashier style but beanie is a man child. 240 pounds, very quick, and has such great feet. He's the best pro talent in college for a RB.

o-line- Even though they knew it was coming the oline still found beanie some room to run somehow!

d-line- They totally dominated the line from michigan.

This game was all bout who won in the trenches and I can honestly say OHIO STATE dominated them on both sides of the ball where it counted.

Have a good oneguys I'm goin to go celebrate this! GO BUCKS!

Michigan's total offense by quarters:

1st: 53 yards
2nd: 13 yards
3rd: 17 yards
4th: 10 yards

Michigan gained a grand total of 40 yards in 13 possessions after the first quarter. Oh yeah, 15 yards rushing on 24 carries for the whole game.
