Game Thread THE GAME, Nov 29th, High Noon, ABC (It was a nice Time For War while it lasted)

One half to impress the committee.

Herman and Fickell better be getting their [Mark May] together and peeling paint off the walls.
Not their best effort in the first half and the players have been off as well, but that's where coaching comes in. Michigan hasn't looked like that all season and they come out and play the half of their lives. That's coaching.

We'll see if Fickell and Herman can coach or if they can only pucker.

You'd better throw in Warriner (offensive line was a sieve for much of the 1st half) and Ash (the DBs have looked lost a few times) if you're going to single out coaches.

Obviously we need the win, but I really want to see some physical play on defense. Wiscy or Minny are both going to run the hell out of the ball next week. Can't come soft then, so let's pick it up NOW.

Tempo is an important issue. Ohio State is much better on offense when they play up tempo. They have looked slow and plodding. TSUN is getting way too much time to get set on defense. Bottom line, perhaps Barrett is jittery or lacks confidence, but Ohio State seems to be dictating the tempo way too infrequently on offense.

Absolutely. This team is all about playing for the opportunity to win the next game. Every coach should be on notice with the way this team played.

This game is not only THE GAME. It's a shot to play for a national championship and style points count. A one point win this year will drop them out of contention unless something miraculous happens this afternoon.

Agree. Ran tempo on Sparty. Trying to get cute and pick the perfect play based on formation TTUN is showing. Dictate, don't be dictated to.

A loss drops them out of contention. Any win is fine.
