Gonna be strength vs. strength in this one. UM's O vs. OSU's D. I am liking that its at home for us, but I am going to hold off on any thing positive to say about the D until after the spring practices.

Why do OSU fans hate Michigan so much? I'd really like to know? I don't think Michigan really hates OSU as much as OSU hates Michigan.

My viewpoint as somewhat of an outsider yet being a buckeye fan would be this:
Michigan has other rivals, whereas scUM pretty much is our only one
Michigan has other pro sports teams and some that had consistent success whereas on the average most of the ohio pro teams have not
Michigan beat up on tOSU for years, and tOSU has only managed to break even against scUM. Even when we had decades where we were better than scUM, nothing matched the dominance of the early 20th century or the 1990's. Therefore scUM was the school in the matchups for decades, and Woody's success (the high point for tOSU until now IMO) was soon undercut by Bo.
Woody and Bo were fierce rivals, but Bo was the one who sold out Woody to a degree by going to coach for scUM. There was no bigger disrespect that could have been served than by doing that.
The jerseys are as stark in colors as they can get. We love our bright red and sleek silver with white and black accents, all of which are traditional colors. Whereas your jerseys are traditional but quite loud, with your neon yellow pants and unorthodox helmet. So therefore anybody who has a reason to hate you already is going to be inclined to hating your uniform, and once that happens the uniform ends up making them hate you even more.
And Michigan tried to steal Toledo.
Also cuz most Ohioans have only seen the really crappy portions of MI as well. I personally only like the west coast (my hometown on the lake - which most people can't believe is in michigan), the north and the UP. The rest, with a few exceptions, can join up with Quebec in my book.
Those are my main reasons.
