Game Thread THE GAME, 11/26/16, 12pm ET, ABC

Reading the scUM boards is a Sunday morning treat.

They actually believe they'll take a step forward next year and that somehow they have the better coach.

There is no doubt that compared to Dick Rod and especially Hoke, Harbaugh looks like a great coach to scUM fans. However, check out the starters on the depth charts for both teams. scUM has 10 seniors and 1 junior on defense (and the junior is undoubtedly gone to the NFL after this season); and 8 seniors and 3 underclassmen on offense. Ohio State has 1 senior and 10 underclassmen on offense; and all underclassmen on defense. I believe that the Ohio State team will be taking a much bigger step forward in 2017.

There seems to be a consensus on radio and TV today that m*ch outplayed us. While I admit that if you asked me in the stands in the first three quarters I would agree, we dominated most of the remainder of play. If you take a step back and take an objective look at the box score, I don't see how anyone could come away with the conclusion we were outplayed....

Total yards-- OSU-330 m-310
Rushing yards--OSU-206 m-91
Turnovers -- OSU-1 m-3
First downs-- OSU-24 m-17

Would be interesting to see the quarter by quarter breakdown. I think we were outplayed for about 50 minutes. Too bad for them they decided to make these games 60 minutes long.

I re-watched the game. There were some tough calls that went against scUM. The one that was a sure was the non-call on Conley for PI in the 2nd OT. He hooked him early. That brings a flag 8 out of 10 times. But here is the thing - there's no guarantee that scUM does anything with the ball after that AND they had an opportunity to hold Ohio St to a FG attempt after that.

The picture of JT with the ball breaking the plane of the 15 should put that one to rest.

I have major problems with the idea that the PI call on Samuel was not legit because the pass was uncatchable. It was 18 inches over his head -and he couldn't jump because he was hooked - but let's say it was 2 feet over his head. You telling me one of the best athletes in CFB can't snag a ball 2 feet over his head? It's absurd.

Why did scUM lose? They had a 3 point lead and just needed to keep Ohio State from marching the ball from the OSU 17 to the scUM 4 to tie the game with a shaken kicker.
