You kids stay off my lawn!
One of my favorite stories about The Game came about in 1955. Ohio State had won the Big Ten a week earlier, but they were inelgible to go to the Rose Bowl because they had gone the year before. Michigan and Michigan State were tied for second place, but the wolverines had defeated the sparteans in their head to head match. A Michigan win or a tie would send them to Pasadena. Word leaked out that the Wolverines had already begun to pack equipment for the trip.
Fullback, Bob White led the Bucks, grinding out more than 160 yards and the team kept taunting the Michigan players with chants of "Unpack, unpack, you ain't going no where." The 17 - Zip victory meant Sparty got to go bowling while the wolverines stayed home.
