Game Thread THE GAME, 11/25/17 @ 12:00 ET (FOX)

I guess I will put this in this thread. Driving here in Charlotte on I-485 (same as I-270 in C-Bus) and this car comes up besides me and then slows down to match my speed. A young lady is driving and looks over and then gives me the OH sign. She must have seen my license plate and alumni sticker. I ask you in what other university in the world can you be driving over 500 miles from campus and a random person comes up to you and identifies them selves (such as shouting OH) much less driving at 70 miles an hour on the freeway and gives the OH sign. Kind of neat.....GO BUCKS!!!!:io:

I passed a lady with Ohio plates today in the South side of Las Vegas. I yelled O-H and threw up the sign, and she returned with the I-O. It's just how it is. You can yell O-H in any airport on Earth and someone will come back with I-O.

I don't believe that they actually started "coasting" after the first quarter, or at any other time in the game. That's just making the typical excuse that weak-but-boastful boys make, and it's fear talking more than anything else.

"I would have won if I'd tried."
"I didn't even study for that exam."

Which works just fine since we have a coach getting pissed over possible clown show activity against Illinois.

Just layng the groundwork so next year they can claim they actually won the game this year too.

Buckeye Breakdown: The Play That Almost Never Happened

Marcus-Baugh-Touchdown-Michigan-1170x780.jpg

One of the biggest plays on Saturday almost never happened. It wasn’t Austin Mack’s incredible catch in traffic, or a long run by J.K Dobbins or Mike Weber, but rather Marcus Baugh’s touchdown reception from the arm of J.T. Barrett.

After withstanding a first quarter that saw the Buckeyes trailing 14-0, and negative yardage in the stat column, Ohio State began to climb their way back into the game. Late in the second quarter with the Buckeyes threatening the red zone, Ohio State broke tendency by passing on first-and-10.

The play started with an audible from the sideline which moved K.J. Hill from the slot to the backfield, along with Weber.

Slight confusion by Hill and Victor pre-snap prompted Coach Meyer to run down the sideline looking to possibly call a timeout. As Meyer neared the referee, Barrett organized the formation and snapped the ball.

Ten Things We Learned from OSU’s 31-20 Win Over Michigan

1. Dwayne Haskins is a gamer.

Urban Meyer hates the term “gamer” because he doesn’t believe that you can be successful in a game without also being a “practicer.” I’m not saying Dwayne Haskins isn’t a practicer, because he is, but I’m also saying that he’s a gamer. The guy prepared as a backup should all season long, and on Saturday in the biggest game of the year, he performed like a starter. People will say this reminds them of 2014, but it couldn’t be more different. Cardale Jones didn’t take his role as a backup seriously until after the Michigan game. Haskins has taken his role seriously every step of the way. After the game Haskins said he was never nervous. That’s exactly what you want to hear from any player, especially your backup quarterback.

10. Good habits are hard to break.

At this point, it feels like Michigan is not supposed to win this game. The Wolverines are Charlie Brown lining up for the kick and the Buckeyes are Lucy, perpetually ripping wins away from the Wolverines’ foot before the cleat meets leather. This is six-straight wins over Michigan for the Buckeyes. Two wins in a row is an accomplishment. Three wins in a row is a streak. Four wins in a row is special. Five wins in a row is almost criminal. Six wins in a row, however, is habit.

Here in Connecticut I can't leave the house with any Buckeye gear on without getting an "OH" or a "Go Bucks." :oh::io:

Add to that, when JT was under center, the stadium was very loud. I'm not sure how the heck they are able to communicate well enough to get a play off down there. I'll also add, you didn't see our QB bitching about crowd noise either.
