It's giving up our longstanding rivalries, adding tons of travel across many sports. If it were known we would entertain offers, the money would be there to move.
If we were to leave the Big Ten, it would be to form a superconference, not join an existing one and we'd take OSU with us.
Oh, this is a good one:

Yup, you read that right.
Ummm... pardon the ** out of me, but... you'd "take OSU with" you? You can just go right ahead and try. We are the B1G.
On the plus side, showing true emotion like that, he is not on the autism scale.God his kid has an ugly cry...

This hits so close to home as somebody who lives in an enemy territory. If you try to explain it to somebody, they'll just close their ears and act like an entire fanbase can't all be the same like that. You must only be talking about the infamous "vocal minority". Except you and I both know....it's ingrained in who these people are. Circumstances have made these people think and act the way they do to make up for their inferiority. That's how an entire group of people can all behave the same despite common sense telling you that just being a fan of a school shouldn't change who you are as a person. In some cases....it does exactly that, and more often than not, it's ugly. They were given something long ago, and that something has been ripped away from them.....and they can't handle it. So they cope.I love this site.
Living up North among them has enlightened me on a fact many don't quite understand.
Most in that fan base don't care about winning. Their real emotional connection is needing to feel superior to others and other schools.
That is why I can bond with the Bucks because you guys measure success by results with wins and losses. But the skunk bear clan measure it by feeling they are somehow better than you.
Hardball will never be fired because he makes them feel special.
Literally the fan base was calling into the radio and saying to MSU fans that they are better because no way they lose as bad to OSU as MSU did. Forget that they lost to MSU. It matters not, all they need is to feel superior.
I will take the win and know I am better. Feelings are for pussies, wins are for men. Just sayin you need to get the troops riled up and kick the [Mark May] out of these pompous bastards this weekend.
It usually takes them a few days to figure out a way to make a loss sound like a moral victory that they can parade around with and celebrate. And those few days of silence are golden.
Yeah, those cock goblins had the ball virtually the entire 2nd Q as I recall. Came away with a lousy 6 points.Looking through old box scores...crazy stat from 2002-we had 48 total offensive plays. tsun had 89.
Indeed... I mean, you're living among a fan base that was absolutely gushing over Harbrua and his supposed recruiting prowess for getting the commit of ......-27
I have a good friend that lives in Texas and he is completely unbias (Texas Tech grad).
He was asking me if Hardball was about to get fired because down there if you go 1-6 against your main rivals at Texas or Texas A&M you would be gone for sure. I laughed and tried to explain that if they fired Hardball they would be admitting they were wrong to hire him in the first place. And they pushed all in with him. I mean he has a MILLION DOLLAR passing coordinator along with an MILLION DOLLAR OC. Yep he hired a passing guru and pays him a million a year for a team that cant pass......LOL.
And Rashan Gary along with his HS coach.Indeed... I mean, you're living among a fan base that was absolutely gushing over Harbrua and his supposed recruiting prowess for getting the commit of ......
Tyrone Wheatley Jr.....
a legacy commit....
to a staff that had just hired... Tyrone Wheatley Sr.
