yeah, the fact that he never actually lost the ball makes it hard to say he lost the ball.

If he was juggling the ball and it wasn’t touching his hands and body I would get that being a fumble. But when he’s got the ball against his body with at least one hand on it the entire time, there just isn’t a loss of control. You can readjust how you are holding the ball without fumbling it.
