Game Thread THE GAME: #1 Ohio State 42, #2 Michigan 39 (11/18/06)

That cold pizza bit is just more fuel on an unwanted fire. In backdoor fashion, he's just encouraging more bad behavior. Tell scum fans that they shouldn't support their team because we're crazy? Idiot. Let's all wear the same colors so everyone gets along just great, right? Sounds kinda like a marxist. Anyways, alcohol + passion always equal violence, not just here in Columbus, jackass.

I saw it and it was slanted but you have to use common sense. Every fan base has their douche bag fans and will do stupid things like destroy personal property, throw bottles, etc. It happens in Ann Arbor as well, so that dude needs to get off his high horse.
somebody needs to hit him with an empty glass bottle and key his car.

Well, let's be very frank. We wouldn't be getting this press if we hadn't had multiple incidents and riots in past years.

This year, responsible Buckeyes gotta tell the drunken few to cool it.

We need to make noise in the Shoe.

We need to take care of business in the Shoe.

We need to show restraint outside the Shoe.

This "burning couches and beating up little old ladies" image is something we really have to shake.

Most of the people who engage in this crap aren't really fans. They certainly couldn't recite the name of our defensive or offensive linemen. Typically, they are just folks looking for crap and the Buckeyes are a good excuse.

This negative image is pervasive and international. Responsible Buckeye fans have to help these other Buckeyes see the light now.

Our team will take care of TSUN in the Shoe.

We're all preaching to the choir. The people who are involved in these riots are not real fans. They're just people who are looking for excuses to riot. They'd never bother to check out or be involved with an internet message board.

Let's show some class. After a win (over Michigan, Penn State, or even Cincinnati), we should act like our team has won a game before. These riots make it appear as if our fans don't know what it's like to win a game.

And to visiting Michigan fans: you should act the way that you want visiting Ohio State fans to act next year in your house.

This is very true. The internet version of these folks are the ones who create a profile on a messageboard just to flame a couple times and move on to something else when they get booted. :tongue2:

Real fans respect other PEOPLE, not just their fellow fans and/or team. I agree that we should not ever stick up for a fellow buckeye if they are being violent or just plain being a dick.

I've actually been warming up my vocals like you did back in High School choir all week, so I can minimize my hoarseness come Sunday. We need to yell our hearts out and be a little nuts in the Shoe- but throwing stuff is disrespectful and fucking stupid.

Back to what's important; beating TSUN.

Vrabel was on Cowherd this morning talking about the rivalry, mentioned that he was proud of himself at getting a good shot in on Tom Brady during the course of a little OSU/UM trash talk at a practice this week. Vrabel claimed he had the team laughing when he pointed out that the only reason Brady ever became any good is because he spent half his career pretending to be Bobby Hoying and Joe Germaine as a member of Michigan's scout team.

he should have just said that only michigan can turn an nfl pro bowl caliber player into a 6th round draft pick.

Right after that Brady segment on Cowherd he also talks about Vegas going 3 for 3 in these big college games this year, and with the 6.5 spread right now they're basically screaming "we made a mistake! pick Michigan." Believe it when Cowherd tells you that Vegas is very very comfortable with this Ohio State team this year.

I don't know if anyone else saw, but Cold Pizza just had a segment about what Michigan fans shouldn't do at the game Saturday. Including drive in cars that have Michigan plates, wear school colors, walk on high street and so on. I don't know the guys name, but somebody from the school paper said that the University was scared because of how bad Ohio State fans are. He said to watch out for empty glass bottles, as Ohio State traditionally throws them at people. Walk in groups, as you could get hurt if you walk by yourself.

In a nutshell he just pretty much said that Ohio State fans are the worst in the country, and they can't even be trusted so just watch out. Plus the guy was a weirdo. I don't know if anybody else saw this. At first I thought it was a joke, it was pretty offensive and biased.

I was watching this as well. I thought it was a joke. I was litterally laughing at the TV. He also mentioned that Ann Arbor police will be out and about down here. WTF are they going to do down here. They don't have any jurisdiction here in Columbus. Hooley and Rigardotti were making fun of that situation because they will be like Mall Security. It seemed as if this toolbag was making some of this up as he was on TV...he was all shifty and unsure of himself. It was very unprofessional.

Jim Rome just did a peice on Perry'ine's tirade. He more or less told him to shut up, that Troy is going to win the Heisman. He also said if he has proof that JT cheats to call the ncaa or shut up.
For once, Good job rome.
I don't think meech has enough weapons and we show them up for what they are.
