I fall into that age group and I would say the majority of my news info comes from the show. While the show is very critical of the Republican Party it tends to be pretty centrist and is very critical of the Democrats as well. It really just makes fun of the stupidity involved in the political process regardless of party affiliations.<O:p</O:p

To answer the original question: No. I've never watched more than three minutes of the show. I've never recovered the IQ points I lost from the first time.

Just not my bag of tea. But then again, my schedule only allows for about 3 hours of tv a week if I'm lucky. Political crap is the last thing I want to waste it on.

The two big networks searching for an evening news anchor, one of which is affiliated with the Comedy Central channel I believe, should look nowhere other than Jon Stewart. He is hugely appealing, witty, and knowledgeable, and would be a ratings boon.

I must be the only person on earth that never, ever thought that Stewart was even remotely funny. I have nothing against the guy or anything...I just don't get it...but then again, I never really understood the Seinfeld worship either.

Back when Thump and I had an apartment together behind the McDonalds on East 18th, we would watch the re-run of the show every day during lunch. That was back when Kilbourne was the host...I miss the 5 questions routine. This was also when I discovered Louis Black, who I think is one of the funniest comedians out there today.

Since Kilbourne left, I probably have watched an entire hour of the show combined. Like others, I just don't find Stewart funny. I never liked his stand-up before he got the gig either.

The show has become too political under Stewart for me to watch it.

I do miss Kilby and his "Moments of Zen."

Brian Unger was also a trip as well as a correspondent.

i think the show's hilarious. I think that if you do watch a whole episode through, and give it a chance, you might like it alot more. i know i used to not like it at all, but started watching it one night and couldn't turn it off. just my opinion though.
