The Cigar Thread

I don't drink, I don't do drugs, but I do love the occational cigar. I know that opinions have been posted in other threads, but I wanted to start a thread for cigar lovers especially with the Holidays being a great time to relax with a stogie.

Aside from the usual suspects (Fuente, Padron, Tatuaje, etc) there are some great new stogies out there. Here are a couple of my favs that I have discovered. Keep in mind that I like a spicy cigar, full bodied and complex but not too strong. I like cigars that are not the same all the way through.

Cabaiguan Gauapo - a new Tatoo Pete cigar made by Pepin Garcia. Fantastic. Similar to the Tatuaje line. Full flavor, very complex. STUD


CAO LX2 - these are the Soprano cigars re-banded at half the cost. Guess the Soprano line did not sell at 12$. Well they are damn good for 6$. I am a big fan of the figurato size.





Alec Bradley - the Churchill size is awesome. This cigar changes about 3 times in one sitting. Awesome.



El Truinfador - Dark wrapper, alomst a maduro. The Lancero size is great. Brand new line and excellent.





La Aroma de Cuba's new Edicion Especial - Much different than the normal L'Aroma stuff. Fuller body, much more like a cuban.

CAO Brazilia were one of my favorites this past summer. Its kinda hard to smoke cigars during the winter in Chicago.

Ashton makes a fantastic cigar in the 10-20 dollar range. These have been my favorite since I started smoking stogies. Other than Padron and the occasional Fuente, these are all I smoke. I hate Macanudos with a passion.

i'm not partial to any particular size. i do like the dark wrapper though. they call them maduro. ashton makes a few other one's, but the one with the white label are the one's i like.
