The B1G/PAC CCGs and FOX..Sound Off!

Gus Johnson rounds out a much easier to stomach announcing crew than ESPN's headline acts. In past years, Charles Davis wasn't enough.

Love the lengthy shots of the band as well.

My only complaint is the painfully bad robot animations heading to commercials, but that is a small gripe.

I was much more impressed with the B1G telecast than the Pac-12 one. I also liked the longer band shots. You don't get that with other (read: ESPN) productions.

If they shore it up a bit and possibly get someone to replace Charles Davis, I think it's got a lot of potential.

1. Marcus Allen looked like he wanted to go to sleep at both CCG. I think Dhani Jones, even though he's from TSUN, was a good halftime analyst.

2. There were mistakes by FOX but I think they'll get better in the future. At least the stadium clocks operated.

3. It's going to be weird having the Pac-12 CCG and then B1G CCG back to back and knowing for sure who will be going to the Rose Bowl.* Kind of like the AFC/NFC CCG. * Of course if one of the teams is NC bound it won't work out so easily.

There were definitely some mistakes made: ie. Saying Big 12 Pac whatever, But overall it was well done. Apparently there was something wrong with the broadcasts for a few people as it was too wide but that wasn't the case for me. I had a pleasant time watching the game and even if I wasn't excited for a certain point in the game, Gus Johnson livened my spirits. Great first BTCG broadcast.

It was awesome until a shit penalty gave the game to Wisconsin.

I must have missed the flag on Wiscy's 4th down desperation heave to a back up WR in double coverage that set up the winning TD.

And the task of which teams to put in the Lionheart, Ligature, Latte and Leggo Divisions???

Who cares. We have a playoff to decide the conference championship game.

All is right in the sports world.

Seriously though, wouldn't a super conference solve alot of the BCS problems?

With a 34 team conference and 4 divisions, you could set up a playoff between division winners to decide the conference championship. Bowl games are still in tact, the BCS is still in tact, and cocaine is a hell of a drug.
