I was in A-deck, east side, 20 yard line on the opposite end of the field. We knew he missed it by the reaction of the fans in the north stands. I was one of those dumb kids who ran out on the field. (Is there a statute of limitations for that?)

Funny how Bacon's entire explanation about the long time before refs made the call, Lantry on the bench, everything.... doesn't jive with the video. Maybe he thought that shit didn't exist anymore and took the liberty of making it up.... tells quite a yarn there.
