So Only six Big Ten school ath depts claimed to make money in 2019 according to a report in NJ.com. That means that eight lost money including conference runner up, Wisconsin. Ticket revenue ranged from 9 M at Purdue to 100 M plus at Ohio State. Not playing, especially in a year when all state tax revenue will be down markedly, might be a way to cut losses For those 8.

BTN shares averaged about 30 M per school.

I doubt it unless they somehow still get their tv revenue without playing. Which I guess could be possible cause I'm not sure lawyers thought of year there would be no football.

Football is being played right now in most places. Only teams/conferences paralyzed by fear are sitting it out.
