Maybe I have you mixed up with someone else then. Seems to be a lot of revisionist Cooper era stuff and way too respectful of tsun stories from one site and I had it associated with you.

Like I said, touchy subject (tsun and Cooper) during an emotional week, so apologies for some of the vitriol in my reaction.

No apology necessary. Putting your work/real name online = occasional blowback is the price of participation. We all read all the sites so the scorching hot takes often blend together and are hard to pinpoint. I wrote for Scout then Bucknuts between 1999-2011 then took an ownership stake in 11W in 2011 so mine have been all over the place.

Finally was able to find my way into this thread and I am just going to go stream of consciousness rather than the common methodical breakdown. That was one of the most satisfying wins we have had against that damn team up north, it just is. I was trying to put into words to some of my fellow sports fans in town why this win was so great. I think I had trouble pinning it down because there were so many iconic moments and so much passion. From the top down, the coaches were 1000% invested and so were the players...that is what I wanted to see all season. But I am not going to sit here and bitch about the (11-1) season. I am going to rejoice in the dominate all season but lose to that God-forsaken team up north.

Chris Olave, holy shit kid, way to make sure nobody ever forgets you...that was about the most unexpected/amazing performance in this rivalry I have ever seen. Go ahead and score 2 TD's, I get that...but block that punt that gets essentially what was the dagger in the heart? Sevyn Banks catches the blocked punt in full sprint, how does that even happen? Unreal. Dwayne Haskins threw up an incredible performance and not just on the stat sheet...he took over the team as a leader and nobody looked back. He has had one of the best seasons a QB can have in this conference, but he took another step in this game...he didn't come close to being phased by the pressure of the game, he was as calm and collected as could be. Parris Campbell treated his career at OSU like a track meet and man was he fun to watch...from a quiet recruitment out of Akron, to putting up big play after big play, you have to love that kid.

Alright, have to give it up for THE BEST DAMN FANS IN THE LAND! Seriously, every single person who was in that crowd should be damn proud of the way we backed this team. If you were in that stadium, pat yourself on the back because it made a huge difference. I was at the '06 Game and that was an amazing atmosphere...I only watched the game on TV, but this game had to be even more intense. I have never seen pandemonium in Ohio Stadium like when we blocked that punt, not a single fan was even close to their seat. I have gone back and watched that play about 50 times now and cannot get enough of it. I am about to go back and enroll for another 4 years on the off chance that might happen again. That was about as impressive of a game environment as it gets, we seriously showed up and backed our boys. That was just fucking awesome, no other way to put it. Great job Buckeye Nation, how could you be a recruit and not want to play in that game?

I am just straight up welling with pride. That was a performance I will never forget. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face today and for good reason. I am so proud of this performance. From Urban Meyer down to Sevyn Banks on special teams, this is a game that validates every single moment of rooting for the Buckeyes. I hope we win out and finish the season strong, I do. But there is nothing this team could do to erase what we did in this game. Great job Bucks.

Honestly this was the most electric atmosphere I have ever seen. I mean my lord... the intensity was outrageous. Many ear shattering moments, but I have never seen or heard more crazy loud noise than when we blocked that punt. I mean I swear 70 year old men were jumping up and down. Then to top it off, being able to celebrate the whole 4th quarter, watching scUM fans leave with a whole quarter to go, rushing the field etc.

Easily the most memorable in person experience for me at an OSU game.

Anyone else think a moment was more loud and crazy than that blocked punt TD as far as pandemonium?

Chris Gamble's pick six against Ped State in 2002.

The craziest pandemonium moment I've ever witnessed while not in a stadium was Holy Buckeye. I was in the Mandalay Bay sports book. The big screen is like 40 feet across, and usually has four games playing on it, but that game was full screen. It was standing room only. There were hundreds and hundreds of people crammed in there. When the play happened, tables and chairs were overturned, drinks and food went flying, along with the ashtrays, empties, and whatever else was on the tables. There was a TREMENDOUS roar that could be heard in the venues on the opposite side of the casino floor. Some random stranger grabbed me, and hugged me, and started jumping in circles, and we fell down. It was absolute, glorious chaos.

Sun Devil Stadium was nearly 90% Buckeyes that night. We were in section 24 which was the tiny Miami sliver behind their band, and there were just as many Buckeyes as Canes in that section.

I watched that one as well and it was definitely one of my top Buckeye moments I can recall. Forgot how loud the stadium was for that one. And really we are having one of those problems that you call a "good problem." That moment might be the biggest play we have had, but the atmosphere the entire game had on Saturday will be tough to ever match. I know it is The Game, but I am floored with how our crowd showed up.
