That Freshman RB they have the was VERY IMPRESSIVE... Kid is big and quick. Bigger quicker version of the bus and I am not joking. He will be a force Saturday.

That is just the sort of player I was hoping would not emerge for Texas - but you had to believe would do so. A real running threat makes Young twice as dangerous. That said, eveybody had great numbers for Texas today and that had much more to do with La La than anythig else.

Yeah that is who I was refering to. I am with oh8 on this, an emmergance of a running game is what we did not want. Granted we are not UL-L but I am telling you this right now, if we do not hit that kid low and hard he will bounce off and get 15 - 20 yards that fast. He was impressive. The other RB they had who got dinged up is nothing to lose sleep over I don't think, but that Melton horse will effect our game plan.

Go Buck... Man I can not wait

To me it seems like a cupcake game like this could stand a good chance at hurting your team...giving them (over) confidence for the big game but it doesn't really give Texas a lot of things that need to be worked on, except its kicking...that said, I'm fine if Texas thinks it doesn't need any work and comes in nice and confident

And I'm very glad that OSU played a good team to open up with...gave us our strengths and weaknesses and will keep the guys busy this week

Jamaal Charles was the smaller dude. Had 14 carries for 135 yards. I was pleased.

I am still grinning like an idiot after seeing Henry Melton.

Thunder and lightning in one recruiting class. I like.

No offense, but you could have run almost any player on your team against LA Lafayette and he would have looked great...I'm sure the place kicker was itching to get in and run the ball a few times

I am sorry these are still grown football players and Melton just DESTROYED them, he was impressive. I am not saying he is the best thing since sliced bread, but the kid was impressive.
It's hard to tackle someone when you don't wrap them up, and I don't know of anyone who could wrap their arms around Melton. His thighs looked like tree trunks.

The Texas scout team is more competitive than UL-La

Dryden I see you are from Lancaster, that is where I went to HS. When did you graduate. I agree I am sure the scout team for Texas in more competitive then ULL but Melton is a force and I bet he gets a lot of carries Saturday.
