Texas Tech Red Raiders (sponsored by BET365)

CFB or in the NFL for that matter.

I have mixed emotions about that 'next phase' thing. I mean, it's eventually going to happen... but I guess I'm in favor of it being a little more graceful than a trainwreck... but yeah, call a spade a spade, right? It's nearing horse abortion levels as it is right now.

I hear you. That's valid.

I am more of a hurry up and give me the bad medicine and let's just get this over with kind of guy.

I disagree. I know someone who has. Although you can say his was an unconventional version of it. He was in finance and gambled through his by impulsively "betting" on the riskiest investments. He realized that the way he operated at work was the same way a guy at the race track would bet on horses and got help at a gambling anonymous group. Basically, he said that he had no motivation to work unless the threat of losing everything was always lingering in the background, but now he no longer works in that manner and has secure investments set up for the rest of his life while still being motivated to work without unnecessary reckless risk. He also said he has been able to settle down, marry and have children since working on his gambling impulses because before he did he could never get married because he was always worried in the back of his mind that "he could do better" so he couldn't commit. I thinkgetting help, which led to him having a family, has helped him with his gambling impulses.

But I do agree it's very difficult for people to kick this addiction and is pretty rare to overcome. But I wouldn't say that people never get over it either.
I’m talking sports gambling.

These are some seriously stupid and delusional motherfuckers regarding the place of their poverty program on the food chain.

They think they're nouveau riche, but they're not even that.

I've started calling them Lubbock Community College....it's ridiculous some of the garbage these inbred hicks are spewing

and it remains my theory that THIS is why people are actually spun up about the Sorsby situation. NOT primarily because they think sports gambling/cheating is going to ruin the sport or whatever.

The peasants are getting uppity. Call it for what it is. We are all CFB snobs/elitist pricks.

It doesn't really matter who the school is that's doing it. This type of TCUN-like arrogance would be made fun of by me at least.

I think I agree with this. I wouldn't give a hoot about Texas Tech otherwise. If anything, maybe I liked them before this story. I didn't really have much feelings about them, except my all-time favorite coach who I would NOT want to be the Buckeye head coach (Mike Leach) was their coach for a bit. Yeah - they ran him out which was boof. But I didn't really didn't have strong feelings about TT. Now that they're trying to support a guy who has been known to bet on his own games.
Hey 1919 White Sox, we know you took money from mobsters to throw the series, but how about you just go to another team and play again next year?
Hey Pete Rose, remember when we said yesterday that you're banned for life? We changed our mind. We hope to see you on the field for another team next year.

And then crying to whoever would hear their case - that judge deserves a wedgie. But the whole thing where they went and cried about having to follow the B12's rules and NCAA rules and tried to find judges and attorneys to defend them from any punishment. Sheesh.

"I'm a kleptomaniac. I admit. And now that I've admitted it, you can't arrest me or punish me for anything I've ever stolen." right..
