Texas Longhorns (big hat, no cattle; please don’t Horns Down us)

Bud Light has resumed its LGBTQ+ marketing campaigns after last years’ backlash subsided

God, I hope we can shut down the fucking hype train early.

A loss wouldn’t matter. He had the mechanics of a high school junior last year and talking heads were still trying to pencil him in as a first round pick. He’ll still have a strong arm, athleticism, and the name. That’s all they care about.

The only one willing to speak truth about Starch was Chris Childers, but he followed the same pattern as he did with Ono and the cheaters: speak truth initially but then clam up after the execs send him a strongly worded email to knock it off.

Rasheem Biles alleges Ohio State called him while he was in the Transfer Portal

While speaking to the media, Biles claimed that the Buckeyes gave him a call about transferring to Ohio State.

“I ain't really trying to be in Columbus. I ain't trying to be a Buckeye. Like they didn’t want me out of high school and I was right there, so ain't no point in trying to get me now.”

Biles is a Pickerington native and claims that the Buckeyes didn't want him right out of high school. Biles was a three-star recruit out of high school in the 2023 recruiting class. Biles transferred from Pitt this past offseason and ended up in Austin playing for the Longhorns.

Ohio State is looking to make Biles sad again

The Buckeyes have done a good job of making the Longhorns sad over the last couple of seasons. The defense has done a good job of keeping Texas' offense from scoring many points, holding them to just 21 points combined in the two games. That will be a key again in Week 2.

Google AI: Rasheem Biles and Sonny Styles are close former teammates and good friends who starred together at Pickerington Central High School, winning a 2022 OHSAA Division I state basketball championship and playing shutdown defense on the football field.

High School Background & Connection
    • The "Twin" Dynamic: Biles and Styles played side-by-side at Pickerington Central and grew close under the guidance of former NFL defensive back/coach Lorenzo Styles Sr. (Sonny's father), who helped shape Biles into a high-level defensive talent.
Collegiate and Pro Paths
    • Sonny Styles: Reclassified/graduated early, starred at Ohio State, and moved on to the professional ranks as a linebacker.
    • Rasheem Biles: Initially committed to Pittsburgh out of high school before transferring to Texas. Biles made headlines when he entered the transfer portal and revealed he ignored a call from Ohio State because he felt overlooked by the Buckeyes during his initial high school recruitment.
Just sayin':
1. Pickerington HS linebacker now at Texas is pissed at Ohio State for not recruiting him put of high school.
2. Ohio state did all right in linebacker recruiting; Biles might have a difficult time beating out anyone for 3rd string on the current Ohio State team.

Arch Manning, Drew Mestemaker voted college football's most overrated players

We polled a litany of player personnel executives on what they really thought about the 10 players who crown CBS Sports' Top 150

Arch Manning isn't a top 10 quarterback in the country, let alone a top 10 player.

That's how one veteran NFL evaluator assessed college football's biggest name. Manning draws polarizing opinions that range from future No. 1 overall pick to vastly overrated, as the scout believed. Just think about what the internet made of the viral catch made by Manning's new top receiver, Cam Coleman. The NFL evaluator's claim sounded hyperbolic so we pressed him to name 10 quarterbacks who were better.

Eventually, after going through every perceived top quarterback in the country, the NFL scout conceded "not a top 10 quarterback" may have been too harsh. But he was adamant that there are real concerns around Texas' star quarterback, including his lower-body mechanics. He does not have him ranked as a top-five quarterback ahead of the 2026 season.

"Watch him throw a deep out," the scout says, "he'll sail it every time."
