Ex-Texas Longhorns DL T'Vondre Sweat arrested for DWI

Former Texas defensive lineman T'Vondre Sweat, the 2023 Big 12 defensive player of the year and Outland Trophy winner, was booked into jail after an arrest for driving while intoxicated.

Sweat, 22, was booked Sunday afternoon into Travis County Jail, according to online records, after being arrested by Austin police. He faces a Class B misdemeanor, which in Texas carries a fine up to $2,000 and 180 days in jail.

Just sayin': He may be missing some of the pre-season mini-camps and/or practices for whatever team drafts him.

A UT athlete in Austin?

yeah… not getting anywhere near the maximum sentence

30 days - suspended is where I’d set the over/under

Yeah, regardless of the actual number of days they probably will all be "suspended"; the DA in Austin is probably even more accommodating to Longhorn football players than Tallahassee's DA/police are to FSU football players.......:roll1:

Seriously

two iconic venues, but tv executives got involved
tv executives with zero clue about college football and even less understanding of college football fans

next thing you know those two iconic venues both sat empty during those games
Or perhaps there were other reasons. Reasons like not having to honor discounted student tickets. Back in the day, students could get seats between the goal lines and the forties in A and B deck and on the fifty in C. By the 80s they were pushed to the end zones.

Aaaand I'll bet that the UT folk have a hunting lodge in Colorado, a seaside chalet down Brownsville way, that Ewers and his chosen dolly or dollies can jet away to for a long week end. Heck, I certainly would. What the heck else is he going to do with private air travel? Didn't he graduate from a HS in the Austin area?
