Texas A&M Aggies, aTm (official thread of jizz jars)

Soooo you want to replace the guy whose entire reputation was built on a generational QB with the guy whose entire reputation is built on having two generational QBs?

And pay him $125MM guaranteed on top of the $70MM you still owe the one QB guy?

Seems like there might be a better idea out there.

Dabo’s reputation wasn’t only built on 2 generational qbs.

You forgot that it was also built on having a DC who stole opposing teams signs as well.

Aggy is not as rich as they like to pretend. Like tejas, they use those oil lease funds to inflate their endowment (insecure Texans always having to try to "swing the big dick" for everyone to be impressed). Those funds are systemwide and also have to cover a lot of things that other states would do with annual appropriations. Here's a quick comparison of Ohio State and the Texas A&M System.

Ohio State's last budget was 9.59B, and the A&M system's budget was 7.2B. Ohio State's budget goes to cover a single four-year campus, one medical research hospital/med school and a handful of small two-year branch campuses.

aggy's budget goes to fund a much larger system of 11 four year universities (with 153,000 students) including a significantly larger flagship campus. All of these 11 campuses are classified either "Masters" or "Doctorate/Research." They also fund four medical schools around the state. Seems like they are trying to do a hell of a lot more with a hell of a lot less money.

Which university seems richer to you?
