Texas A&M 17, Miami (Fla) 34 (Final)

B12 making a push to get below the B10 and rival the ACC for weakest BCS conf.

OU looks to be elite (I still remember '03 and '04 though), Texas is just waiting to get knocked off, Nebraska is decent but nothing special and the rest are just pathetic.

I'd say OU/OSU edge B12
Texas & Nebraska/Wisky and PSU edge B10
the rest are all equally sad without giving it too much thought.

EDIT
Just realized..Illinois was on even footing with Mizzou and that still leaves tsun to match up with any team you can pick as a solid 4th in the B12.

So Is A&M just that bad or is Oklahoma just that "good"?

Somwhere in between, a team is never as good or bad as they look in a blowout.*

*unless you get blown out every time you take the field (NoD) then you really are just that bad.

Anyone else hesitant about jumping on the Sooners bandwagon? I can't get '03 or even '04 out of my mind. They always seem to blow their wad too early. They deserve to be considered a NC contender but I get a feeling they will lose a game against a team that isn't afraid of them and that has a strong running game, like KSU in '03. If A&M wasn't such a massive underachiever, they'd fit the bill.

One interesting way to look at such things is by looking at a "Big 10/other conference challenge" were it to happen, with matchups based on approximate quality of the conference top to bottom. So, for example:

1. Wisconsin-Oklahoma
2. Ohio State-Texas
3. Penn State- Nebraska
4. Michigan- Texas Tech
5. Purdue- Mizzou
6. Michigan State- Texas A&M
7. Iowa- Kansas State
8. Illinois- Kansas
9. Indiana- Oklahoma State
10. Northwestern- Iowa State
11. Minnesota- Colorado/Baylor

I would like us in matchups 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8. I think the Big XII would get 1, 9, and 10. I would say I like Iowa in #7 but they just lost to Iowa State...call it a toss-up. Minnesota is probably also a toss-up with Baylor, but even if you give the Big XII that one, that makes it 6 us, 4 them, 1 draw, or 6 us, 5 them...and that's by giving them the benefit of the doubbt and keeping one of their crappier teams from having to play.

Hurricanes lower boom on Aggies

Associated Press

For one night, everything worked for the Miami Hurricanes, who finally got that signature win the program has craved for a couple of years.
Kyle Wright threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns, Graig Cooper scored twice and the Hurricanes stymied No. 20 Texas A&M's high-powered offense in a 34-17 victory last night in Miami.
The win was only Miami's second in its past nine games against a ranked opponent dating to the end of the 2005 season.
