Tennessee Dismissing Coach Donnie Tyndall After 1 Season

I wonder if they will be chasing Greg Marshall. They better chasing pretty fast because I think Alabama is going to throw a ton of cash at him and it is the type of cash that I do not think he can refuse unless he really loves wheat:wink:

I don't know if Marshall would even entertain the Vols, unless they offer him an insane amount of money (since he didn't even talk to UCLA a few seasons ago).

Jeez, the SEC is really cleaning house. Probably an edict from ESPiN or something or the first order of business of the new commish.

Even though he just agreed to a contract extension (which doesn't mean anything), Steve Prohm at Murray State might be worth a call. He's 40 (and a man).

This is the Vols and they need to recognize the level of the program (i.e. no high-tier coach is going to jump to Knoxville).

on a unrelated note, an assistant coach from Wichita State just took the HC position at East Tennessee. On a related note, I think that Tennessee will go after a bigger name then some guy from Murray State and I do not care if he is a Man at the age of 40.

They had a coach -- even though on the Hot Seat -- jump to go to Berkeley. Their last coach came from Southern Miss and 2-of-3 coaches had some sort of NCAA thing (infraction).

I'd be shocked if the Vols could even get Josh Pastner or Tommy Amaker at this point.

I think it'll be someone like Prohm, Bobby Hurley or the newly-fired Steve Lavin.
