TenneCheat VolunTears (but..but..but.. we're good at baseball)

Safe to say there’s some key differences between 2022 Tennessee and 2019 LSU.

At least ONE big difference at the moment.

Hendon Hooker injury: Tennessee star QB, Heisman hopeful hurts knee vs. South Carolina, exits game

The superstar quarterback went down in the fourth quarter with what appeared to be a significant leg injury

Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker suffered what appeared to be a significant injury midway through the fourth quarter of the Volunteers' 63-38 road loss to South Carolina in Columbia on Saturday. The Heisman Trophy contender kept the ball on a zone read and went down in a non-contact injury to his left knee as he was attempting to cut through a hole to gain yardage.

Hooker was seen on the turf in obvious pain. He limped off the field and was immediately taken to the injury tent for evaluation, and his Tennessee teammates were encouraging Hooker as he exited the field. The play was reviewed and ruled a fumble after Hooker was initially ruled down. Hooker eventually walked to the locker room under his own power as backup Joe Milton entered the game in his place.

Yesterday could have very well been Hendon Hooker's last collegiate game. I doubt that he'll be ready to play this Saturday, Tennessee isn't in the SEC CCG, and (even if cleared to play) could very sit out their bowl game (i.e to prepare for the NFL draft, etc.). His chances of winning the Heisman undoubtedly just took a major hit.

63 is the most points that Tennessee has allowed since ‘93.

1893. Excluding 2 games in 1918 that had basically a club team due to players and the coach heading to WWI service, and UT doesn’t recognize them as official games.

In 1893, the third year for the team, they took a trip to the Raleigh-Durham area and played 4 road games in 6 days, losing 0-60 to UNC in Chapel Hill, 0-70 to Trinity in Durham, 0-64 at Wake Forest, and 6-12 to N.C. A&M in Raleigh. So the first three games had them getting out-scored 194-0 in a 4-day period!

Florida scored 62 in 1995, the previous modern record for points allowed.
